Lft. - The Honorable Midgett S. Parker, Sr., PhD
earned his Bachelor Of Science Degree in Mathematics, Chemistry and Physics, from Hampton University. He earned a Masters Of Science Degree in Chemistry, and completed his doctoral studies in Chemistry and Mathematics from Georgetown University. He received an Honorary Doctorate Of Social Sciences. He taught @ Cornell University, Binghamton University, & Ithaca College. He had a life long passion assisting students to achieve academic excellence, including several whom completed doctoral programs. He was an Officer in the US Military & a Veteran of World War II & the Korean War. He worked @ IBM for 26 yrs. as Chemist and Upper Management. He gave many hours of service to his Church on the Trustee Board and as a Delegate to the Annual Conference, Alpha Fraternity, and to Civic Organizations. He was actively involved with the NAACP and the Urban League, serving in the capacity of Local President, Board Member and Major Event Coordinator. He was also a Prince Hall Free & Accepted Mason, Chenango Lodge #39, and rose to the highest level ( 33rd Degree) and served several years as Worshipful Master, and Illustrious Potentate. He received numerous Civic Awards from a variety of organizations including the Boy Scouts of America, NAACP, Urban League, Hampton University, IBM, the AME Zion Church and the Lions Club. A Loving Husband, Father, Grandfather, and Great Grandfather.
